Engine Shed Cafe - Boroondara

There are many coffee shops in Melbourne and most of them make good coffee. The differential is somewhere else, wifi, service, location, price and decoration. Engine Shed is nicely decorated and offers free wifi. Service is good and it is located in the Surrey Hill neighbourhood.

Terrific coffee, friendly staff, good simple lunch options. The Engine Shed has a cute courtyard out the back and some terrific vietnamese food items on menu along with your standard cafe items.

Visited with my friend for breakky and coffee, it was fab! Coffee was good and quick service, very friendly staff. I ordered the eggs florentine with bacon, everything cooked perfectly. Price was good too, for a large coffee and breakky with extra bacon was $22 and my friends was $16. Will be back next time we need breakfast food!

You should try it out i have walked by it any time i would like to have a coffee in it and have lunch there

Dropped in here yesterday for lunch after a business meeting and had the Thai-flavoured chicken burger which was extraordinary - very delicately flavoured with subtle Asian overtones, melt-in-the-mouth texture, fresh bun, fresh salad and mayonnaise, accompanied by some of the best, crispiest chunky-cut chips ever. The coffee, too, was perfect. At a time when people who know nothing about food seem to be opening cafes every day and everywhere, it's refreshing to find a place that actually has a clue, does something different and accomplishes it in a truly outstanding way.
