Gateway Restaurant & Deli - Borden

The restaurant offers great food at an excellent value, with generously sized portions. Despite being busy, the wait is worth it. The only downside is that there is no washroom on the premises.

I stopped for a quick bite at Gateway Village while shopping and was impressed with the food, reasonable prices, and excellent service.

My group quickly fanned out over the Gateway Village to shop. Shopping makes me hungry so it wasn't too long before I stopped here with family to eat a quick bite of lunch. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and lemonade. It was a very small but well-run deli. They will take your order inside and then serve you at your table. There was outdoor seating available as well as inside. It was very good food at a reasonable price. The restaurant was clean and staff very attentive. I highly recommend it for a quick meal while visiting the area.

I was camping in PEI on the weekend,on the way home to NS we stopped at Gateway Village at the bridge for lunch. Not much to choose from so we tried Gateway restaurant and Deli,what a disappointment,didn't even compare to bad Midway fare,frozen fries,prefabbed hamburger patties and canned gravy eaten off dirty tables and sitting on old plastic patio furniture that seen better days.

Frozen fries! no fresh PEI homemade fries .. No mayo in lobster roll. the bun had no butter and wasn't toasted .. worst lobster/fries we've ever had.
