Bidrage med feedbackWe have thoroughly enjoyed meals especially the 'Menu Volonte' in several Asian - Oriental restaurants and chose this one fully expecting it to be of the same calibre.WRONG being asked to pay before the meal I thought strange but after sampling the fayre on offer I can see why.Very very sparse selection and only very minimal amounts, almost scraps in each tray, bordering to being cold it certainly discourages any thoughts of a little of each, after the first tasting it was on to the dessert, that was the only enjoyable part of the meal. The place obviously relies on tourism, passing trade, as its in a prime position, just don't get sucked in.Given the fact it was not busy and way below standard I cannot see it being in business much longer. The charge was in line with what you would generally pay at any restaurant in France at a lunch time..I have marked it Family friendly purely based on the seating. To cap it all the toilets really stunk.
How is it possible to leave a review that explains this terrible restaurant, expensive and the buffet is all evening 3/4 empty and with only cheap quality ****! AVOID THIS PLACE IN BORDEAUX AT ALL COSTS!
The room is light and spacious with a fine view over the Garonne, you can eat as much as you want and its not expensive. If you require more than this, such as nice food, then don't come here. Don't come here either if you intend to eat and run off without paying, as they make you pay first, which is probably a good business decision on their part..
Unlike all the other reviews I didn't find this place too bad.not a great accolade really but I thought it was fine.context: a late lunchtime visit with my buffet loving uncle..fairly empty inside .I went to sit at a table for four and was brusquely ushered to a tiny table for two!I resisted pointing a the vast empty dining room.she relented grudgingly. The view of the river and the passersby is great.the staff are real Chinese for what that's worth. The food again was fine.typical division into salades, greasy starters things and mains plus nice ice cream..had a taste of most of it ..salads seemed fresh and tasty.good gizards.the egg rice was good.the porc spring roll was very tasty.the sushi was meh.. The main dishes were fine..a very nice white fish, nice battered chicken thing, duck was good..Toilets were fine.maybe we were lucky or I just have low expectations but I enjoyed this very unhealthy but tasty meal...
So you'll be walking along the river and start to pass one of Bordeaux's fancy shopping centres, with high-priced boutiques and restaurants. Then you'll pass this, and there'll be a sign outside saying it's an all-you-can-eat buffet for 17 euros a person. "It's a little on the high-end side", you'll tell yourself, "But it's a fancy area so maybe it's worth the price."Nope. It's a trap. And there's a reason they take payment first - because nobody would ever pay them otherwise. The buffet is extremely limited, and they manage to fail at everything they attempt in an amazingly spectacular way. Everything is either overcooked, undercooked, fatty or bland. They put meat in everything, so if you're vegetarian, expect dry chow-mein and bad salad. Even the deserts, which are clearly shop bought, are terrible. The cake was stale and the ice cream was freezer burned.Don't do it. You'll get a better meal at the nearby Subway for a fraction of the price.
