Mercer's Dairy - Boonville

Did you really live in Northern NY if you don't have a picture in the big red chair? We had noticed that the quality of soft ice cream was not the same in recent years, but when we went back this spring it was back to the old reliable quality standards. So many possibilities of hard ice cream, and their ice cream cakes are a family clamp.

I have such a great, unforgettable experience here. I found this ice shop over a year ago when I looked around on Google Maps. I was thrilled to taste her wine ice cream, which is very unique. I have visited almost 50 creamy and ice cream shops in the east coast, and wines ice cream is very unique. This is the 2nd place that sells ice cream. Mercer's wine ice cream is not creamy as I expected. It's more like a creamy sorbet. I tasted 5 different flavors are of wine ice and surprising that I chose before arrival were the ones I like most. For someone who doesn't drink much, almost rarely, I can taste the wine in the ice. I bought 10 Pint's Strawberry Sect, Cherry Merlot, Port Wine and Peach White Zinfandel. I had a peach of White Zinfandel when I was there. It was very easy and I say to eat. It does not taste ice because it is not creamy. Not sure how much milk was used. It reminded me of ice, sorbet, very slightly less creamy ice cream. It was good. What impressed me during my visit... My hotel is 30 minutes away and I forgot to pack ice before I stop by. Even this f I brought ice cream that could have melted the ice all day before I even arrived at the ice store. The young ladies were so helpful. They had neither ice nor dry ice. They offered the ice that they can scrape off the inner wall to the freezer. I was really surprised and pleased how they were willing to go beyond and beyond to help me. They were also very patience. It was my first time there and she offered my sample of all the wine ice cream that she was selling through the pots, all 5. I wish the customer service is offered anywhere at the superior level. Thank you! I had no chance to try her normal ice cream. I've stopped a few hours before I got here. I was so full! I could stop tomorrow on the way back from Alexandria Bay if it's not too late to return to the area.

If you had no ice cream from Mercer, you don't have the best ice cream in the world.

Great place for ice. Do not forget to taste their wine ice creams

This is the only place I've ever seen with a wine ice cream. I had a taste of it and it was really good.
