Bidrage med feedbackAttentive service and a cozy restaurant. We had Steak Tatar with fries and fried Onglet with Spaetzle. The Steak Tatar came as a DIY project. Okay quality but a little irritating. The Onglet was well prepared and tasty.
Real alsatian country cuisine. The place is frequented by locals, so this is granted. Local people coming and going just for a glass of wine and a chat with the hostess. Wonderful choucroute. There was nobody around because it was winter, but it should be very very nice especially in springtime.
I say surprising because we expected the restaurant to be a really simple affair with simple, uncomplicated dishes as it is run by a nice family. Although that is true in part, the quality was outstanding. We had snails and a green salad to start not much can go wrong there and it didn't. For mains, we had an onglet of veal and a skirt steak. The meat for both of these dishes was truly excellent. Probably the best piece of veal I have ever had. Both dishes were served with simple but delicious fresh vegetables and spaetles. The service was very friendly and informal and the lady owner was happy to explain anything to us. There were also some locals there so it gave the restaurant a nice feel.
Best steak I 've had in France. Staff went to trouble to cook it as les Anglophones like, and took time to explain afterwards. Very good value. Not a lot of opposition in town but sincere good food and they have pride in what they provide. I felt treated seriously as a guest in this restaurant. Warmly recommend it.
Très beau restaurant familiale, accueil parfait, personnel convivial et menus variés et préparations délicieuses avec un très bon rapport qualité prix.
