Bidrage med feedbackThe last time I had a gyros was when I was working in NYC years ago! I love how they have definitions/ explanations of the food outside their restaurant.
Was looking for my old Turkish haunt in BJ on Bronte, the sign for it was still in neon above the business.
It's pays to walk outside of the main drag at the junction. Clean, tasty Greek food you'll find.
I stopped off here to get a quick lunch as there was a parking spot out the front (which is rare in Bondi junction). I hadn't actually had a souvlaki before but ordered a chicken one with salad minus the chips (trying to be health conscious). It was juicy meat and salad on a really fresh pita bread. Not too big like kebabs are these days, but I think that was good. Tzatiki sauce was nice and overall a really nice flavoured souvlaki. The people working there were friendly and the service was fast. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
If you love consistency and great service then you can’t go past The Souvlucky Country. The service is always great – especially since I have received far less from other local establishments. Run by a husband and wife team, they really make you feel welcome and when dining in you are made to feel like you are in their family home. The restaurant is always impeccably clean and there is always plenty of parking in the streets nearby. The mixed grill plate is our go to dish and for only $28 it can feed three adults and there will still be leftovers.
