Costa Coffee In Next - Bolton

The restaurant has potential but unfortunately, it is quite dirty overall. The chairs are stained, walls have food residue on them, ledges are full of dust, and tables are not cleared. The staff seem to be doing their best but they appear to be understaffed.

The staff at the Costa at middlebrook, are very pleasant attentive. The staff work very hard, enjoy going there every week.

Staff very pleasant and hardworking always happy to help on our visits for breakfast . Would recommend the toast and a really good cup of tea . Wi-Fi and phone sockets available can’t say the cleaning is upto the same standards though, on the surface it looks clean but bat the side of the sofa is different thing and not pleasant when sat opposite. Such a shame think the cleaners need to be spoken to

I had to request a second cappuccino (which I rarely do) as the first one was poorly made. The replacement was served in a cup with a large chip right where I was drinking from. Despite a sufficient number of staff, the restaurant was not busy. During my previous visit, I noticed numerous flies circling around the cakes.

Called in here today (16 Feb 2022) Costa in Next at Middlebrook Retail Park. We’ve been here before on a number of times, we actually found the staff polite, friendly and helpful. On this occasion we noticed that it was distinctly dirty, the lounge type seats by the windows were stained, dirty and full of dried in food. In addition at least one table had black and yellow tape that appeared to be holding it together. We observed that the tables were not being cleaned, there were drink spillages and dirty cups. Plus the floor was also unclean throughout. This Costa franchise is in one of Nexts flagship stores and reflects badly on Next too. It is beginning to feel run down and neglected. I cannot recommend this branch of Costa, if you do visit I suggest that you don’t wear good clothes and check your seat before you sit down.
