Shack At Bolton Landing (the)

Right on the main street in Bolton Landing, The Shack is a wonderful spot to grab a bite! We stopped for brunch after a short hike. Service was great—friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and well-prepared. I’m gluten free and had no trouble finding something on the menu. And, staff were knowledgeable in this area, which is always a plus. Nice place for breakfast. I would have given this a five star rating if the eggs were local and the potatoes were crispy. I am always happy when I can get some gluten free toast and orange marmalade. The three egg omelette was great and I appreciated that I could have as many vegetables as I wanted at no extra charge. Morgan was sweet and attentive. Dietary restrictions: Loved that I could have as many vegetables in my omelette as I wanted at no additional charge. Always happy when I can have gluten free toast.

Excellent: great service and affordable-for-the-area price. Great: Chili cheese dogs were tasty and well prepared. Fair: Sat on outside deck overlooking stored boats on trailers. We generally enjoy The Shack, but didn't have the usual experience. Although we were seated quickly and it was only moderately busy, we waited about 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us. We finally had to stop a server and she promptly took our order. The food was cold and so/so. Good atmosphere.
