Westside Drive-In - Boise

After reading the Raving reviews we had quite high expectations and the food ended a complete abandonment. We ordered a few, one was her famous Papa-o Burger, who was at best mediocre. It definitely has a 50's Diner Vibe and the staff are helpful with the huge and confusing menu option. Another thing that threw us away was their famous potato ice cream that made a marketing mask best with ice cream to look like potato. There are better places to eat at boise

Do not hesitate if you have a PRIME RIB! I ordered a first-class rib dinner in the ride. Asked for medium rarely. I'm glad I decided to park and eat because there was zero pink. It was WELL DONE. I was surprised because it was the shortest time I've ever been on the west side. I usually go to the state road. I just spent a few minutes in the ride. There is no way that was a fresh prime rib either because she could cook?t it done well that quickly. I bet my first rib was another person messed up order and she put it in the fridge then nuked it and hoped that I would drive home to eat it and not recognize until I was super far away that it was well done? I got a refund, but I drove this time away and went to try my shake.. I asked for a caramel MALT Shake. No caramel and no MALT. It was just a simple vanilla shake. I didn't even go back. I just try to spread the word now that this place does not pay attention to detail. PRIME Rib is EXPENSIVE and they should not microwaving. I'll stay at the state road and NIE will come back to this place.

Fun atmospheric, much to see while you wait. Good service and good food. The frozen potato is quite impressive!

If you like Diners, you'll like it. Eat well, but the root beer float is small

Great hot and delectable food, lots of fun, and plenty of Fifties and Sixties music abounds this glorious spot, and THEN some. Had the Ribeye steak sandwich with gems/tots plus a Grasshopper shake (Mint-Oreo). Absolutely worth the $21 total after tax. Come and enjoy yourself in all the ways that truly count...good Golden Oldies music, excellent food, cool crew, awesome retro atmosphere. LOVE THE WESTSIDE DRIVE IN ??
