Bru - Boise

This place is fantastic! I loved that all the beers on tap are local and represent the best the area has to offer. I would definitely recommend it for any night out in Boise! Plus, the owner is incredibly charming! I highly recommend it, 10/10!

I have just two suggestions for improvement: 1) They could use more variety in beer styles. While I enjoy IPAs, there seem to be a surplus of them here, and it would be great to see more sours, saisons, or Belgian styles to complement the stouts and porters. 2) It would be helpful to offer smaller sampling glasses, like shot glasses, so you don’t have to use a full-size glass for just a taste. It's fantastic to try each beer from a clean glass, but wasting a 12oz glass on a half-ounce sample feels a bit excessive. Overall, I’m excited to return and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and delicious brews. I really hope this local business finds its niche downtown!

It's pretty great. It's like BodaVino for beer! It can get expensive really fast, tho. So, you walk in and give them your debit card (they do cash also, but cards are way simpler for the process). They then give you a card that you use to pour beer by the ounce. Under each if the taps is a card slot. Insert the card and it activates the two adjacent tap heads. The price tallies as you pour. The beer prices range from 25 cents an ounce up to 94 cents an ounce. You never get sticker shock because you see the cost as you fill your beers. Last, their pizza is pretty good. Nothing out of this world but it goes great with good beer. Try the Greek Pizza...its worth it.
