Amazing fresh, authentic food. Friendly service in a family owned store. Got some Guyanese soda and bread. Absolute gem! I will caution that entering the parking area is a little strange/ tucked away. Be mindful of corner/ intersection traffic. Dietary restrictions: Halal but serves beer. Went to this place a few days ago. Flew into town and wanted to get a chicken patty. I brought my girlfriend with me who by the way owns her own retail spot. We stood there for about 3 minutes without being helped or noticed since he was turned around with his back to us. The man with the strip beard behind the counter finally heard us talking and turned around. He said, Give me a minute and I 'll be right with you. Having owned and managed retail businesses I understand the need to have patience with staff. I told him, sure no problem. Well it took him longer than a minute to finish whatever he was doing on his iPad. Then he turns around and walks into the kitchen without saying anything else to us. He could have asked if there was something we were interested in having to ensure they had it etc instead of keeping us waiting for what appeared to be an innocuous reason. My GF and I turned around and walked out. She was astounded at the lack of customer service. This is horrendous customer service greeting presence and retraining needs to occur. I 'm sure the food here is probably good, we just couldn 't get past the self absorbed veneer of the server to even place an order. My first recommendation is if a business is being operated with open doors for the public to walk in, then no front of the house staff should ever have their backs to customers as they walk in the door. If taking inventory is so important to you, face your terminal to keep an eye on the door. It 's that simple.
