Bidrage med feedbackI was highly surprised at how good the food it. I'm happy to say I found excellent Mexican food in Germany! The fajitas and enchiladas were as good or better than most places in the US. The drinks and food came out very fast and the nachos were also very good. The difference is they use real cheese not the fake stuff. I highly recommend this place. Also, make a reservation and they open at 1700, not 1730.
Pretty pretty good...for Tex Mex in Germany. I had the chicken fajitas, which had plenty of flavor. However, a bit heavy on the bell peppers. K had the beef burrito which was also spot on. The chips and queso were not right, the cheese dip was very thin and watery. Overall a great place, also good drink specials.
I lived very close to the Mexico for 10 years and frequently visited. The food here is ok. Awesome ambiance for a group....make reservations. Stick to the salads in the Tortilla shells (ensalaten) for a safe bet....they are pretty good.
Had a nice dinner at El Zapata with my wife. We were looking for something different than typical dining in/around Böblingen, Germany . This Mexican style restaurant was interesting and turned out to a decent place. For a Mexican restaurant in Germany, we weren't expecting much. A few major errors dropped our opinion rating of them though. We were waiting forever to get service. We actually had to go up to the bar to get someone's attention. They got our drink order completely wrong. Then the food took an extremely long time to prepare. I ordered the chicken burrito platter and my wife got the chicken enchilada platter. Pretty basic meal, so we expected quick service and little complications. The food quality and taste was okay; certainly room for improvement. The other tables around us seemed happy and enjoying their meals. Perhaps a group would be better suited for this restaurant; not a romantic venue for a couple. We might give them another chance with a few friends, mainly going for the drinks.
Started out excited about San Antonio -based mexican food in Germany. Apparently the chef has never been to San Antonio and has never eaten mexican food in Texas or Mexico. Chips and Queso: a bowl of crushed tortilla chips with cold, runny, canned nacho cheese sauce and one sliced jalapeno. I ordered a Burrito Pollo, my wife had the Enchilada Pollo and our friends got the Beef Fajitas for two. My wife and I got the exact same meal. A large flour tortilla, with meat, bell peppers, onions and zucchini with a tiny little dollop of canned cheese on top. No sauce for the Enchilada . It didn 't taste bad, but failed our expectations badly. Our friends Fajitas were served sizzling, on an iron skillet. And was the exact same ingredients as the Burrito and Enchilada. Only they got to take the small flour tortillas out of the warmer and fill them themselves. The rice was excellent though. Not Spanish or Mexican seasoned though. It did have a good flavor with a garlic aoli sauce. They had a good selection of beer, and my wife said her Margarita was good. We left disappointed.
