The Bay View Lounge - BODEGA BAY

This lovely restaurant is situated on the grounds of the Inn at the Tides. It offers a stunning view of Bodega Bay, accompanied by a live pianist. The food was expertly prepared and utterly delightful. The wait staff was both attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience.

The food at the Winzer Dinner was absolutely fabulous and delicious. The service was exceptional, and the view was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner while you're in the Bodega Bay area! They have an excellent selection of wine and beer, and I'm also impressed by their bar offerings!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Theme of the night was sorry (we forgot you even though you are sitting in the middle of the restaurant), sorry (the food took over 45 minutes), sorry (the chicken was overcooked and dry, after being told that the chicken was delayed because it is not cooking/undercooked), sorry (the salad had onions and the menu wasn 't clear that the salad was a mostly onion salad), sorry (took a half hour to get the check when we were one of two tables LEFT at the end of the night) I am sorry I set foot in this restaurant. For such high prices, to have such horrible table service and such poor responsiveness from the Matra d? skip....

I'm just coming here for the celebrity of occasions. The special tonight, as depicted, is a beautiful duck breast with cherry sauce, served with basil potatoes and asparagus. Also pictured, Signature menu item, The Hitchcock.

The amusing part was when the pasta was brought out. It was served in an incredibly tiny bowl—so small that it felt like a joke—and cost $26 per dish! I looked up in disbelief, and my mother, who ordered the same dish, couldn’t help but laugh. It was almost comically small to the point where my mother glanced around to see if we were being pranked! I understand that the restaurant was aiming for a European vibe, but having been to Europe, I can assure you they typically serve more substantial portions. Honestly, I could get more from a single pack of Top Ramen! Thank goodness for the bread and olives, or we might have left hungry! To be fair, the little food we did receive for the entrée tasted decent, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you plan to eat both before and after your meal and have deep pockets!
