Walt's American Restaurant Bar

We had a reservation for 7:30 and were seated right away, but it took 25 minutes to receive a vodka soda. The waitress apologized, saying they were very busy that night, but it didn't seem that crowded to us. The restaurant was quite loud, though that could be attributed to some particularly noisy parties, rather than being overwhelmingly busy. There were many open tables available, which made it feel like they weren't at full capacity, and there didn't seem to be a general manager to oversee things. Towards the end of our meal, we ordered a black coffee, and it took nearly 15 minutes for it to arrive.

The staff is definitely not adequate in number. We visit frequently and have never waited so long for our drinks, let alone our dinner. It's quite disappointing.

I ordered the Thursday special, a Neptune roll (which is a lobster and shrimp combo), and I was really disappointed. The roll was mainly filled with a lot of celery and hardly any seafood; it felt stale and lacked flavor. For $18, I expected much better. The service was also lacking; it was a frustrating experience overall. It feels like the quality of both the food and the service at Walt has really declined.

Great date night! We enjoyed everything we ordered and would like to highlight the Brussels sprouts and spicy cauliflower sides, and the bangin’ shrimp appetizer. On one critical note, the mister ordered the ribeye cooked medium and it wasn’t quite prepared right with one side charred. It didn’t really stop him from eating it though. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will return.
