Uncle Julio's - Boca Raton

I was a frequent diner with Uncle Julio and Sunday night experience was terrible. They ran out of things on the menu and what they served was just ok. It took forever to get utensils and napkins, so we finally got up and got them from an open table. Otherwise our food would have been cold. It took four separate excursions to bring our food to the table. It won't go back.

Service is bad and it is always dirty and blunt, especially soils. This is regrettable because they are in a great location and have beautiful atmosphere

Food was good, service good. We were in time to take concert and bill for a while to get with the card and pay was slower, and only card slip did not return original bill. Possibly targeted as they knew that the show started in Milner Center and they might padded the bill with about $12, so we wouldn't notice in our hurry. My server took it back and corrected it without commenting on what happened. Too bad it was otherwise decent experience.

The food service was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy.

We made reservations for dinner, not knowing there was a major event taking place in Mizner Park at the same time. We were seated outdoors next to all the activity. Six adults and a 4-year-old in our party. Our waiter was jumping through hoops trying to handle lots of tables at this crowded event. He did an absolutely fantastic job even though our dinner took about an hour and a half from order to finish. He was attentive, drinks were always fresh with unending nachos and tasty salsa. But it was a great time and he got a nice tip for taking care of our family. Food was absolutely incredible and we ordered the Grande plate and loved it. We also had a vegetarian guest. The kitchen manager said we could select any menu item and it would be prepared to taste without meat substituting suitable items such as mushrooms, veggies and beans. They really aim to please, even special requests. Great job guys.
