Bidrage med feedbackThere seemed to be a lot of pop-up holiday bars this season and this one came across my search. A few weeks ago we had a couple friends in town so it made sense to make our way to Martin City. I was a little hesitant just because we don 't live close by, but it was worth a shot. We made reservations fairly early in the day, but it 's hard to know these days if they will be busy or not. Once we arrived, it was obvious that the event space above the bar was being used for a children 's dance class or practice of some sort. That said, some of the parents had made their way to the bar for some beverages. I don 't see why more parents drink; however, this was putting a bit of a damper on our experience as their parent conversation was fairly loud. I know we all like to enjoy a cocktail, but I don 't need to hear your conversation with the bartenders. As for the decor, it was very festive and tastefully done, but this is not a speakeasy. There was also very few cocktails to choose from. We also ordered some parmesan fries for an appetizer but they were tasteless and not worth it. It may seem harsh but I think McDonald 's could provide a more flavorful and gourmet plate of fries. Honestly, the only thing keeping this review at a 3 is because our waitress was very polite and the limited drink options were actually tasty. There are/were better options for a holiday pop-up bar.
