La Dolce Bakery - Blue Island

I was told that this place made very good cake. I decided to give them an attempt. the cake I bought was too dirty and had too much filling. I didn't like it.

Way over priced! $6.00 dollars for one small burrito.. and they won't give you hot sauce if you don't ask.. won't go back again.. way to expensive! I should of went to Starbucks smdh!

Authentic Latin bakery. If you're around check this out while in Blue Island. La Dolce has treats both savory and sweet. Even though there's not much vegan or even vegetarian friendly, it can make for some good stuff at an event. They also have cheap prices. Came in while checking out other things around here. It's a small place. There's the entrance and then the counter is almost there. I chose a few of these pineapple empanadas. It's $0.59 each if you can believe it. They have a few of these so called dessert empanadas if you're looking for something interesting, or put in a custom order. Happy to report my guests liked these empanadas. It seems they would like more. Then I told them where to get these.

Not the same! I have ordered all my cakes from here before, but this past year was just all mistakes. Placed an order on Saturday with some staff member that shows she doesn’t know what she’s doing and I had to call in today to make sure it was okay…. Turns out the cake order was all wrong! Train your staff!

La Dolce Bakery has some amazing breakfast burritos. Likely the best in Blue Island! A little over $6 will get you an egg, sausage and american cheese burrito with a hash brown like McDonald's, but almost twice its size. The burrito is just toasty enough and the cheese is nice and melty. This is an excellent deal, and one burrito/hash brown combo will be plenty filling for most people. (I am deciding to smash 2 of these, because I enjoy big breakfasts sometimes.)The egg and chorizo burrito comes with pickled jalapeño (and cotija? Some really nice white cheese) and is a nice, spicy way to wake up. Also totally recommended.These are ABSOLUTELY worth the wait, and seem to take 5 minutes each to make so time your day accordingly (seriously, don't be late and stupid) but I am sure you can call your order in ahead to pick up!
