Taste Of Heaven Soul Food

From the first step in the door I was greeted like family and this was definitely some great home cooking. Absolutely awesome chef who produces an amazing plate of food! Keep up the love man thanks for the best meal I’ve had a a while!

It was a great experience. Very good catfish meal. Would recommend stopping by for a good meal.

The only place in Fairbanks Alaska to get real soul food! I'm from the south so I'm very big on Southern food being properly seasoned and everything was great even down to the presentation!

Before I get into the negatives, I would like to complement things they did well. The chicken was hot and nicely seasoned, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Only thing I would change as far as flavor for the chicken would be adding a little more of a kick to it. The flavor of the chicken is where the good stops though. The drink i orderd was a Pepsi, there was ice on the bottom and it was flat. The only way I can think of that happening is someone else had that drink and they left so they put it in the freezer or something to save it. The portion sizes are aweful, I paid $18.50 for 4 tiny wingettes, the 2 sides I got (Mac cheese and baked beans) were also very very small portion sizes. The mac and cheese was cold and bland. The baked beans were so cold it was like they were taken out of the refrigerator. My friends got asparagus and the asparagus was uncooked and tiny, they paid $5.50 for 4 tiny pieces. The cornbread also was not heated at all, was just like out of the fridge. And lastly, the sauce cups had enough for a drip. Service was good, the lady was very nice it's just the portion sizes and freshness on things other than the chicken and catfish. I hope to return there in hopes this was a fluke because I really enjoyed the chicken
