Fat Bbq Shack Express - BLD Oceanside

Best BBQ I've had since Hometown Bar-B-Que in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The brisket sandwich and mac and cheese are bomb.

This place is bomb. From brisket to the pastrami, amazing. And burnt ends which are a rarity around here, love getting my fix here for KC take bbq. Get there early to ensure they don't run out of what your heart desires. It's not cheap, but neither is the quality of the meat or how they prepare it. Sides are legit as well. You won't be disappointed and they're very nice as well.

This is a review long over due. Came here last year sometime in July, and never got around to making an account to specifically rate this place and let people know I was completely unsatisfied. Food is kinda expensive for portion sizes, I mean seriously $4 for the tiniest Mac and cheese ever and not to mention Mac was not good AT ALL, as well as the Burnt Ends sandwich which was served on a burnt bun, and was mostly fat or hard meat to chew. Had some of their collard greens and those were also not tasty. A man came out from the truck with a hand covered all over in black stuff so I really hope he wasn't making my food. Just a waste of $20, mind you $20 for 1 sandwich, and 2 sides. Lastly the blonde lady at the window who took my order was not rude, un welcoming and just seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Wouldn't recommend this place I don't understand the positive reviews when you get told 10 minutes just to wait 30 for below average food. Seems dirty and nasty. I could go on and on just avoid this place at all costs!

Awesome family great food!! The smokey smell that fills the room when you get home best bbq in town

Just found this place and it is excellent. Had the pit master sandwich which is huge. Friend had the Burt ends and that was also excellent. I will be back for sure!
