Uptown Blanco Arts Entrtn

When the chicken fried steak finally arrived, the batter was burned, and the taste was terrible. The spices in the batter seemed overly concentrated, and the coating was a dark brown, almost charred. My wife ended up scraping off the batter to reach the overcooked meat beneath, but at least the gravy helped mask some of the unpleasant flavor. As for my shrimp and polenta, it was fine but nothing to write home about. On the plus side, they kindly gave us the extra shrimp and polenta in a takeout box. However, considering the distance from our home, I doubt we'll be returning anytime soon.

Incredible prime rib, excellent service, and a fantastic wine selection. My wife raved about the crab cakes, which are mostly crab with just enough filler to hold them together. Overall, I give it an A!

We ordered the pork chop, which was extremely salty, and when we got closer to the bone, it was raw. The waitress was apologetic and offered to recook that portion, but we decided against it. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem trained in handling the situation properly, and she left the plate on our table until we paid and departed. I understand there can be challenges in staffing a high-quality restaurant in a small town, so we’re willing to give this place another try. I hope for a better experience next time. I recommend checking it out, but perhaps steer clear of the pork.

Moses went above and beyond to make our dinner special. I highly recommend this establishment for high quality atmosphere, pleasant music and a memorable dinner. Recommend the salmon filet and uptown crab Louie salad

Returned to Uptown Blanco Restaurant tonight. We were greeted by the manager, Moses. He was very friendly. The restaurant was fairly busy as it was Saturday evening. We ordered the polenta steak bites for an appetizer. They were flavorful and an interesting twist. Would definitely order again. Next up entrees. Crab cakes and chicken fried steak. They were tasty and generous portions. Live music rounded out evening for a relaxing and comfortable vibe. Uptown Blanco Restaurant is a very nice change of pace for our piece of the Hill Country.
