Papaw's Trading Post Bac-yard Bbq

Amazing food. Best smoked wings I have had. They are not deep fried. Done in the smoker. The pulled pork sandwich was piled high and oh so good. We ate at the picnic tables in front. It was PawPaw's birthday and he came to check how we liked the food. Can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic food, great people, great service. I saw the way they cook their BBQ this is THE REAL DEAL. Top level, fall off the bone ribs, great pulled pork, the baked beans are made with pineapple and are to die for. Do not go to the place next door (I have never tried it so it may be good but there is NO WAY it’s as good as this place). Go here! You won’t regret it!!!

Don Debra have an awesome place here with excellent tasting grub.The brisket is super yummy?The sweet tea is southern sweet? Yummy coleslaw n tater salad, too.Don is friendly as all get out. He'll have u chuckling with a few fishing tales. Or describing how much love he puts into preparing his products for u.The outside seating with ceiling fans are perfect.Then take a lil stroll into the Amish store on-site. Lovely jams for sale.I love the Toe Jam!Frog jam is good and the traffic jam is yummy, too

Just what you expect in outdoors mountain Bar-B-Q! The wings... Great rub with one of the 9+ sauces. . The PAW PAW sauce goes great with them. They also have a great mountain furniture store.I'll be back there soon!

Edit: Made it back for the second time for dinner with my parents. Mom had pulled pork, dad and hubby has the 4 rib meal, and I had the pulled pork sandwich again. It was so good! Have the honey hot BBQ sauce. It's delicious!We've been meaning to stop by Papaw's and we got to meet Don and chat with him about his food. We returned layer that afternoon and picked up 4 ribs and a pulled pork sandwich. The apple pie was recommended to us so we got a couple of slices as well. Both the ribs and pulled pork were delicious. The pork had no fat in it and I really appreciated that. I loved the hot honey BBQ sauce and my husband liked the Carolina mustard BBQ sauce. The apple pie filling was really good but the crust was way too thick and almost bread-y and we wouldn't get it again. All-in-all, we'd return for the meat again.
