Bidrage med feedbackHazelbea Catering truly exceeded our expectations with the delicious menu they created for our wedding guests. They were able to accommodate all of our unique dietary restrictions and preferences, including my husband's and my unusual requests. The beef brisket was cooked to perfection, and I couldn't get enough of the dairy-free chicken picatta pasta in the days following the wedding. The catering staff was punctual, professional, and well-organized, contributing to our flawless wedding day. My cousin was especially pleased with her custom pescatarian dish. Rachel and her team truly went above and beyond – I couldn't have asked for anything more.
Leadership was extremely hard to get ahold of leading up to the event, but once on site they were efficient, professional, flexible, and always pleasant. They were very patient and accommodating with changes to the menu and extras. They definitely helped make my event a magical experience.
Consistently high quality and delicious meals every week. I've ordered from HazelBea just about every week over the past few months and have never regretted it. Highly recommend for those who want fresh, delicious, and different meals each week!
Rachel and her team at Hazel Bea Catering are a hidden gem in the New River Valley! I have worked with them for various Virginia Tech group events for over 5 years now. Recently, I have been enjoying their offerings from Millstone Kitchen and Moon Hollow for dinners, brunches, and takeout for my family. The service and presentation are superb, and the food is of top-notch quality and delicious. Thank you for being such a reliable and dynamic team!
I inquired about a quote from this catering company for my wedding in May 2021. I was extremely disappointed by my first and only conversation with Rachel. I was very caught off guard by the questions she asked me. I was hoping to set up a tasting assuming she had a catering menu, but instead she does “custom” menus— I appreciate that, but she didn’t really explain this to me until she was knee deep in 21 questions with my husband and I. I guess the most upsetting part of our conversation was the irrelevant questions— for example what my husband and I do for work. It left me with an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Her tone and questions turned passive aggressive, classist, and downright unprofessional. I felt like my husband and I were being sized up to see if it would be a waste of her time to give us an estimate. Desperate for a caterer, we had to remind her to send us a quote again. Needless to say, we ended up going with a different company that costed a bit more than hazelbea, but was very professional and responsive. Business owners: communication is key- slow down and communicate to your customers. Never assume what someone can and cannot afford. Treat everyone with the same respect.
