Bidrage med feedbackYou know the sort of bar that is so busy that its really hard to describe? Well this place is one of those not busy as in there are so many punters you cant get to the bar to get a pint but busy architecturally as a first date bar this place would be great, you could get hours out of describing the eccentric interior. The Bar food is pretty good and they always have waitresses to hand to bring the food and drink to the table. The newest addition to the pub is an extension incorporating a revolving bar, the barman showed me the other day how they can change the speed it revolves at but after a couple of pints I was very glad they leave it on the lowest setting for the most part. For the smokers among you (BOOOO, hissssss, dreadful habbit etc.... I can tell you they have a very nice smoking area with heaters and seating and many a happy eve I have wiled there puffing away!
Locally know as The Lep Inn , I went there for a work lunch. The place itself was very nice and the food was tasty (they have a pretty great carvery selection). There is a revolving bar apparently which is meant to be pretty cool but, being there for lunch, I didn 't get to try it. Nice pub, a bit far out for me but wouldn 't mind going back to check out the revolving bar.
The Lep Inn isn 't one of my regular haunts, but I 'm there probably once or twice a year, usually around Christmas time to meet up with family who live nearby. The decor is em, interesting following the refurbishment a few years ago. I 've never gotten to see the Revolving Bar in action, but I suspect it 's great the first few times, before it quickly becomes rather tacky and annoying if this is your local. The decor in some of the other areas (such as the nightclub area upstairs) are somewhat over the top for what was once a great local pub for the area. As bars go in Dublin, their spirit selection is average but their beer selection is mediocre. Most bars have a variety of bottled beers these days, expect to only find Bud, Heiniken, Guinness and Smithwicks here, if a little pricy at €5.50 in December 2009.
Consistent food, fair prices, and a menu that appeals to all ages makes this place a frequent haunt for lunch or dinner whenever I'm in the area visiting family. Plus the ambiance is nice and always clean. Their carvery lunch offers a wide selection and is very popular. I like that they also offer carvery small plates/pricing upon request. But my favorite attribute of the Leop Inn is that it's as much a pub as a restaurant so you can also get a good pint and watch any important games.
I visited this place for after-work socializing and enjoyed their tasty finger food, good pints, and friendly, welcoming staff. I’m intrigued by their menu and plan to return for dinner to explore it further. The ambiance is quite impressive, but I feel it warrants a closer look to determine the rest of the rating.
