The service was excellent, thanks to Mario. However, the food was a bit oily and didn't leave a lasting impression. We tried the seafood chowder and several sharing plates, which I thought was a lovely concept, but unfortunately, they didn't quite meet expectations. Despite this, we had a pleasant evening and it was a refreshing change from the typical Irish pub experience.

I had made a reservation at the restaurant, but when I arrived, it was unexpectedly closed, so I decided to sit in the bar area. The bar setup was nice, but the bartender's demeanor was quite unfriendly, one of the most unpleasant experiences I've encountered. On the bright side, our waitress was pleasant, and the food was good, but the bartender really cast a shadow over what could have been an excellent lunch experience.

The menu was completely different and more expensive than what was advertised online. The New Year's menu was the only option available, and we had to order a minimum of two courses. We did receive complimentary prosecco, which was lovely, but we still felt a bit out of place. The atmosphere was incredibly quiet, lacking any sort of buzz. The food was fantastic, but the portion sizes could have been larger. Additionally, because it was so quiet, we felt like the staff was constantly watching us. I also found it disappointing that there were no vegan options, even after calling the night before to confirm that they had a full vegetarian and vegan menu (which they did not).

I booked the restaurant for lunch. Staff were very offhand and said that I couldn’t have done that, it must be for afternoon tea. When I showed the booking I was given a choice of the dining room or the bar, and very much encouraged to go to the bar. The food was all right, nothing special and the service was extremely patchy. Our main course plates were left uncollected for ages- I think we were supposed to eat and leave straight away. Overall what should have been a treat in a lovely relaxing atmosphere was mediocre.
