Bidrage med feedbackOne of the worst food experiences in Blackpool. They charged me £15.50 for a small, burnt burger on an oversized, stale bun. It was that dry the bun fell apart like clay. I also got wings but they were burnt to the bone too. Demanded my money back and the rude bar man didn’t even argue because he looked at the food and agreed it didn’t look edible. Never eat at this place
Just had a lovely meal at the Victory in Devere village hotel. The young man Liam who served was extremely polite and helpful and provided excellent table service. Nothing was too much trouble and it was service with a smile !
I brought my beautiful wife Sandra with me to grab something quick before we went out drinking. The table was in a right state when we got there, there was salt spilt all over the seat so we had to go home because Sandra is superstitious and was worried something might've happened that night! Thanks a lot
Paid £11.90 for a Pint of fruit cider and 2 draught cokes, cheapest bottle of Prosecco they had left was £40 and waited half an hour for a portion of chips that were no better than McDonalds.
My wife and I ate at what is now called simply The Pub Grill while staying at the Village Hotel. It wouldn 't have been our first choice but there were two compelling reasons to eat there firstly the hotel is in a quiet area quite some way out of the centre of Blackpool (arguably it 's main selling point) so going anywhere else would have meant having to drive but secondly, and more importantly, we had a voucher for £40 off food there as part of the deal we 'd booked on. The bar itself was reasonably busy when we made our way there at 5pm on a Sunday. There are two striking things about the menu, namely the lack of choice and the high prices for what is essentially pub grub . Much of the menu comprises of burgers, which presumably explains the rebranding as Pub Grill , with a few other pub grub classics such as fish and chips. As it was her birthday my wife ordered steak and chips with a side order of peppercorn sauce and I ordered a Peri Peri chicken fillet burger. Those two meals pretty much wiped out our entire £40 voucher but probably wouldn 't have cost half as much in a branch of Wetherspoons. Having sat back and waited our food arrived pretty quickly, probably not much more than ten minutes after ordering it, and in fairness we both enjoyed our meals. We weren 't surprised to be served oven chips and frozen onion rings and although that 's what we eat at home so we 're used to them you 'd expect something a bit different to what you eat at home if you 're eating out, especially at the prices they charge here. The mains were tasty enough so we ordered desserts a piece of cheesecake and a sticky toffee pudding which I 'm sure both came in frozen but were nonetheless tasty enough. Including desserts and thanks to our voucher it cost about a tenner for two mains and two puds so we left happy enough but I doubt we 'd have been quite as happy if we 'd paid full whack. In all it wasn 't entirely terrible as the food was tasty for what it was and the staff were in fairness excellent but I wouldn 't go back, at least not unless either I had another £40 voucher or they halve the prices.
