Melina's Mexican Food - Blackfoot

A bit costly as I only purchase salsa and chips to go. 16oz cup of salsa and a small box of chips cost $8.68. I only purchased as my husband loves the salsa. He said this was a very good batch this order. It is ground up not chunky just so you know all their salsa is this way.

There were many red flags when choosing to dine at Melina's. The first one being a white military man stepping out of the restaurant while simultaneously spewing racial slurs at us. Mind you we were a group of Mexicans. However, that isn't the restaurants fault, they can't control who goes into their restaurant. Now to the faults of the restaurant. The salsa tasted like ketchup with too much onion powder (the chips were good though). The tortillas had too much corn and the taste overpowered the rest of the dish. It was also very oily. Taco Bell would honestly be a better option and would probably be more authentic. The service was okay, though. This happened a few weeks ago though, so the food and service might've improved.

Literally the best Mexican restaurant around in my opinion if it ever closes I will cry so much

Worst customer service! Servers and manager are extremely rude. Food is sub par. It lack flavor and spice. Save your money and go to El Mirador or Vasquez's.

Yuck. The salsa tasted like ketchup, my husband had something that was supposed to be a sopapilla and it was tough and inedible. Lots of shredded lettuce on everything. I'd eaten at the location in Pocatello years ago before it closed down, and remember being very unimpressed. I won't go again.
