Sake Sushi - Black Mountain

Sake Sushi is amongst the best in WNC. I ordered the sashimi deluxe $26) which is chef's choice. The salmon and escolar were particularly tender and very fresh. All of the seafood glistened and was vibrant. Very high quality and an excellent price. Sushi is always a work of art but my chef young man with glasses) paid particular attention to detail in regards to the aesthetic of the plate.

We arrived a little after 5pm for an early dinner after a long afternoon hike. The dumpling soup and specialty sushi rolls that we ordered were all delicious.

Quality of food was well below average. Miso soup was tasteless, the teriyaki chicken was way over cooked and was dry and stringy. Veggies were not fresh etc. Will not return.

Nice little patio on this Asian fusion place with pretty good sushi and a good sake selection. Vegetarian options: Edamame, miso soup, various veggie sushi rolls

Disappointing from the service to the meal. Tempura batter was thick and hard. The teriyaki was awful. Just not a good experience.
