What was closer to our daughter than to give him a visit to Bitburg brewery and a meal in a local restaurant for his round birthday. So that the whole thing is profitable, her friend and my wife and I should be with the game. Drivers, at least on the way, should be me and also provide the vehicle. The hostess was generously available for the return trip. She doesn't like beer anyway. In daughter Z4 only the uncle would have found room with effort. So pure in Papa's family-friendly companion. After arrival, visit the brewery or the own information centre of the brewery. The actual production is now outsourced and cannot be visited. Nevertheless, there was extensive information about the history and the entire production process, and not least the most anticipated tasting. Now to the point: The choice fell on Bit Stuben, because this is the only place in the contract with the brewery that is open everywhere. The menu is kept secret on the homepage. However, we were busy with a so-called good-bourgeois cuisine, which was also confirmed in retrospect. We arrived there at 16:30. The Bit Stuben is located at the end of a pedestrian zone on a busy road. This also prevented us from looking for a table for five people in the field, especially as we had reserved. The actual restaurant is on the upper floor, just like the toilets. However, there was a great emptiness, so after the recommendation of the service, we took place directly in the entrance area of the pub, which was open over the entire width of the place. Now we were almost out, still covered and gone from the main road. We wouldn't have found a better place. Time to look around. Did we get into an Irish pub? The equipment of the lower guest room could have suggested acceptance. I love Irish pubs! Therefore perhaps the somewhat euphoric evaluation of the ambience. The wooden paneling of the walls stretched to the ceiling and was decorated more or less prominently with framed pictures, former guests. A ship bell in the front area serves the guests to call the service. The whole interior seemed to be older dates and still original. No retroactive antiquity. Just original! Service The nice young lady who had recommended us the place and also immediately provided the menus. Cover green white gold: Please a little! What else? Who else would have expected? In addition to various carvings, the reduced afternoon menu also offers pasta and salads. Sure, but enough, especially as we already enjoyed one or more of our sample bees (in Rheinhessen is the Brezel male). All decided for the hunter carving with fries and salad. Of course I had to make the exception again: Eifeler Schnitzel with roast potatoes and salad. Before, of course, the drinks were taken. What do you think? Please a little! Only daughters drank water, she doesn't like beer, she has to go back. The lady of the service was alone on the ground and mastered her job with bravour, although in the outdoor and pub, so I call the pub now, high-powered. There were no long waiting times and a friendly and accommodating smile was served. The bell stopped all the time. That is why 5* even when it was cleared something came and a waterglass was first forgotten, what is it? You can also drink water from the bottle. Food drinks: As already mentioned, please a little. The price cannot be adjusted here. We were well equipped with beverage vouchers from the BITburger Showroom, which were accepted without any condition. So we drank at the expense of the house. The pumpkin was delicious, unfortunately, with the hunter's sauce, which was prepared with fresh mushrooms, without canned. Pommes are just pommes. To do something, you must be stupid. But the salad was above: herbal salad, cucumber slices, radishes and crispy fresh leaf salad crowned by a dressing on vinegar oil base with a hint of dill and some mustard certainly also played here. Very tasty, but unfortunately before the main dish, but served too close before. My Eifler Schnitzel was sauce-free, covered with fried bacon and onions, as I have not received it for a long time. Neither fried nor tasted, but rather dark brown and fried crisp. Very tasty also the roast potatoes. In dice and beautiful brown roasted without drinking fat. Simple kitchen, but with peep. Not expensive: The carvings complete between 12, and 15, €. The total invoice was about 75, €, the daughters paid card, so this time no proof. Mamma still contributed an appropriate tip for which the service, who, by the way, always asked about our wishes and satisfaction, smiled and warmly welcomed us. Cleanliness There is nothing to criticize, even not on the toilets. There are other beautiful restaurants in Bitburg that are connected to the brewery and that would have attracted us. Unfortunately they are open again in the evening. So we were very happy in Bit Stuben, my pub in Bitburg. Who likes it simple and original is here.
Very nice! I went exclusively for the apple strudel, probably the best I have had near the Air Base.
Gave them a lot of opportunities to redeem themselves, regarding their food (overpriced for its quality) and some repeated incidents showing their disdain...
The service was awesome, very nice waitress, she came and checked frequently if we need anything. The food was hot and good. I'm sure we will dine here again.
