Marlin's Family - Bismarck

A great greasy-spoon truck stop kinda restaurant. If you want it hot and meaty, if you like a breakfast buffet that lets you stack sausage on top of bacon and eggs on top of that, then this place is gonna do you pretty good. The waitresses hardly have any time for you when it gets really hoppin' busy, but they still get the food out to you quick and are happy to get you what you need. I asked for Tabasco and got a huge bottle. Felt like home.

The food was excellent, but our server was lacking. Nevertheless, I still left a decent tip for my friend and me. I highly recommend the Sunday brunch buffet—it's really good! I left feeling satisfied but not overstuffed.

My server, Coco, was extremely friendly and genuinely entertaining. To start, I ordered the cheese curds appetizer, which were fantastic—perfectly cooked, premium curds that held their shape and were coated in delicious panko breadcrumbs. For my main course, I had the bacon burger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful, and juicy. The bun was nicely toasted, and the fries were fresh and hot. For dessert, I enjoyed the Oreo pie, which was as delicious as I had hoped. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend stopping by.

We enjoyed a late-night dinner together, bonding with my teenage daughter. Before heading over, I called to confirm their hours, and the waitress answered cheerfully, which set a great tone for the evening. When we arrived, she greeted us warmly, like we were old friends, and offered excellent food recommendations. The portions were generous and the food delicious! We also took some fresh caramel rolls to-go, beautifully packaged. Overall, we had fantastic service, reasonable prices, and created memories that will last a lifetime!

Went for the lunch buffet, the salad bar was fresh and tasty. No fried chicken that day unfortunately but the other hot items were well stocked. Overall the taste and quality were average for hot buffet food. The service was great and the atmosphere is nice, not too loud to sit and have a good chat. Definitely worth the price.
