Bidrage med feedbackI was happy to see so many vegan articles available in Bishop! Manor Market has a good selection of vegan cheese, vegan Mayo, vegan sour cream, soya / milk / nuts, etc. They even have the new ones beyond Meatburgers (Fake Meat is not my thing, but still fun to see it in Bishop. It is a small business so they don’t produce as much as the big chain stores, but they often have local products, including fun things like local pine nuts. They probably also wear locally produced vegan/raw/gluten-free desserts (by Jennifer Michele McCoy, although I haven't seen them the last time I was there. You also have a wide selection of beer and wine. From the city center Bishop, take the road to the west for a few miles, and look on the left for the big chicken on the roof. (Left from the 1980s when they sold fried chicken, this is gratefully gone.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of vegan options available at Manor Market in Bishop! They offer a good selection of vegan cheeses, vegan mayo, vegan sour cream, alternative milks like soy, rice, and nut milks, and even beyond meat burgers. While the store is small and may not have as much produce as larger chain stores, they often carry local produce such as pine nuts. They also reportedly carry locally-made vegan, raw, and gluten-free desserts by Jennifer Michele McCoy, although I did not see them during my last visit. Additionally, they have a large selection of beer and wine. To find Manor Market, head west on Line Street from downtown Bishop for a couple of miles and look for the big chicken on the roof (a remnant from when they used to sell fried chicken in the 1980s). Thank goodness that's no longer the case!
I was highly impressed by the wide variety of vegan options available at this market, including a selection of frozen meals and various flavors of "Hippeas", my favorite vegan bean chip brand. They also offer vegan cheese and a delicious vegan mac and cheese. Overall, I am very satisfied with the offerings at this market, especially considering it is located in a small city.
