Piccolino Birmingham

Piccolino is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I have been to in Birmingham.

I visited Piccolino yesterday for a quick lunch before heading to the Ladies Tennis at Edgbaston as part of a corporate event.

Nice eating, steak was delicious, excellent service from the waiting staff and great customer service counts so much.

I was disappointed when I had to ask for two different wines, only to be told they were unavailable. If the wine list is too extensive to keep in stock, it should be trimmed down. It was frustrating to have to choose two quality wines only to find out they were not available. The waiter did make a good recovery with apologies and recommendations, but the restaurant needs to improve their wine ordering and maintenance of their wine list.
