Balti Mahal - Birmingham

I ordered takeout from this restaurant. The ordering process was simple and the curry arrived promptly. However, the food quality was subpar. I used to order from this place years ago and was extremely disappointed with my recent experience. The curry seemed like it was just chunks thrown into a generic spicy sauce. The cucumber raita was essentially sliced cucumber with yogurt poured over it. I will not be ordering from here again. I was really let down by the food, especially considering there are much better takeout options in my area that I will be choosing in the future. Balti Mahal, you can do better than this.

This is quite possibly the worst curry I have ever eaten. If I could, I would give it 0 stars. Not only did we wait almost two hours, but the curries were watery and oily. They were so bad that we ended up throwing them in the trash and making our own food! The rest of the dishes were also tasteless. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

Very good food. Always end up getting extra onion salad and mint sauce when we order. Popadoms are very good too they are big and crunchy but not hard at all.

We ordered a chicken balti and big pot of rice for 30 guests at a party. Food was delivered hot and everyone loved it. Will definitely use again for parties. There was so much food most people had seconds. Dave

I ordered takeout last night on Tuesday, the 9th. I got chicken shaslik, lamb samosas, onion bhajis, and a madras curry sauce. The food was of amazing quality and freshly prepared. We recently discovered this takeaway and have been disappointed by most others in Sutton Coldfield. Balti Mahal is definitely the best Indian food you can find in Sutton Coldfield. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top quality, well-cooked food at affordable prices. - BEN
