Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Colonnade

It used to be a great place, but now it seems like they’re just going through the motions. The chicken was undercooked, and I only realized it when it was too late. I ended up being up all night with food poisoning.

I ordered a salad for pickup at 1:15 PM, placing my order at 10:35 AM and receiving a confirmation email. However, when I arrived at 1:20 PM, my order was not ready. It seemed like it had gotten lost, as they hadn't even printed it out yet. I was told it would be ready in two minutes, but I noticed two people who had ordered after me received their food before I did. By nearly 1:40 PM, I still hadn't received my order, so I decided to ask them to cancel it. I have yet to receive a refund.

I stopped in and ordered the salmon feast since I was in the area and was highly disappointed. The fish tasted super fishy, I couldn't stomach it. Not sure what that was about. I frequent the other location on Hwy 31 in Vestavia as a well as the one onHoover and have never been disappointed nor had anything like this occurr.

My colleague and I had differing opinions on whether to try traditional baklava or baklava cheesecake. I took the recommendation of the staff member and went with the cheesecake. We both ended up agreeing that it was the superior dessert choice. The restaurant offers high-quality Greek cuisine at a great price.

I swore this place off back around 2013. My last visit was takeout after a previous day of light ice on the roadways. I think the store was understaffed when I came to takeout register to pickup the food and pay. The woman that helped me was EXTREMELYrude. while the transaction was being processed I saw a photo on the wall of a large family and the woman in that picture wasthe woman that was handling my order. It must be the owners. I live in the area and gladly pass this location on the way toCahaba heights for Mediterranean food from Pita stop. no way they get my business EVER.
