Hero Doughnuts Hero Parkside

I was walking to RedCat to get coffee this morning and decided to stop in Hero and get some breakfast. I got the folded egg and cheese bun. Since I?m a UAB nurse, I showed my badge and got 20% off and that convinced me to get a strawberry jam donut too! The pepper jam and crack sauce on the sandwich were delicious!

The loaded hash browns are fantastic! We tried adding bacon to one and fried chicken to another, and we definitely preferred the chicken. The bread pudding donut was incredible, but it was quite filling!

I've visited this restaurant several times and have consistently enjoyed both the food and donuts. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, and the donuts were clearly very fresh. The service has always been excellent, but during my last visit, the manager or owner was exceptionally accommodating. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast spot!

We enjoyed a pleasant walk from our hotel to this fantastic spot for donuts and breakfast sandwiches. My wife loved the folded egg and cheese on a bun. I devoured a glazed donut and a maple sea salt donut, both of which were delicious. I also picked up a Boston cream and a banana pudding donut to enjoy later. The Boston cream was outstanding, but the banana pudding was a letdown, lacking any real banana flavor. It was just average. I've also been told by a long-time Birmingham resident that their hamburgers are the best in town, so I’ll definitely be back to try those next time.

Unique flavors and tasty donuts, don't forget to try Pistachio an all time classic. Blueberry is worth trying. Carrot cake is quite unique as well. Cookies and cream was little too sweet. Hashbrowns are a must, nice and crispy treat for your cheat day.
