Jack O'newbury - Binfield

I thought the Jack O'Newbury had shut down. It's been a long time since I last visited.

We went for lunch today with some friends, and all four of us were unanimous in our praise for the food, service, and atmosphere – everything was perfect. Unfortunately, we learned that the pub will be closing its doors starting tomorrow, as the lease wasn’t renewed. Jim and the staff mentioned that they only found out about the closure yesterday. Given the overdevelopment issues in the Bracknell area, one can only assume that this is due to redevelopment and financial motivations. It’s truly heartbreaking to see another classic British pub go. I hope those responsible for this unfortunate situation are proud of themselves.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed, and I'm unsure if it will ever reopen.

Instead of opting for the cooked chicken and salad, we decided on a cold buffet. Throughout the night, I heard nothing but compliments from my family about the food—everyone remarked on how delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented it was. A big thank you to Jim and the rest of the team for making our evening so special. We look forward to seeing you again next year! Best, Alan and Family
