Magnolia House - Biloxi

I reserved this place because its says on the reviews it was exceptional but I was disappointed. You do not want to hear my comments. The only positive comment I have was that our waitress was very professional.

We had an excellent server in Andrea. The shrimp cocktail was divine. The wedge salad was drowned in dressing and the bacon crumbles were inedible with gristle. The filet was so so

Not impressed. We were excited to get a reservation and so disappointed overall. Arrived at restaurant a couple of minutes before our reservation and waited 7 minutes to be addressed by anyone and restaurant had 3 tables. Finally got seated and ignored for another 9 minutes. Got our food pretty fast. The red snapper had bloodline left in it and the chicken was extremely dry and leathery. We were only able to eat a couple of bites and lost our appetite completely. Manager did take the snapper off of our bill after we said something to the waiter. Did nothing for the chicken. Prices are extremely high for what you get. Extremely disappointing experience overall.

Over-priced for portions received. Not up to best preparation/presentation and consumption of high-priced items. Have eaten there numerous times, and quality has declined. Not worth the price.

We had dinner at Magnolia House for our Anniversary. The place was pretty empty on a weekday. Our server Sally was excellent. She was attentive but also gave us our privacy to enjoy our time together. The food was excellent. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious! The ribeye steak was very tender. I got a margarita and it was delicious. Only needed one. It’s a pricey restaurant but I definitely recommend it for special occasions.
