Great restaurant open to guests and the public with a view of the beach and perfect for a sunset cocktail!

Open to guests and the public, surprisingly good food for a hotel and nice selection of alcohol and local beers.

Arriving at Doubletree after a day of touring and driving, we were looking for a dinner site that was close and appetizing. Gulf Breeze is the restaurant in the hotel. At first we were not sure that it was open, but eventually realized that it was. Our party enjoyed catfish, chicken tenders and shrimp. Our sides were salads, steamed broccoli and French fries. Everyone was very pleased with our suggestions. Our server, though busy, kept checking on our needs without being intrusive. The view of the Gulf is beautiful. We are glad that we stopped searching the internet and found the gem under our noses.

Sat there for 10min before walking to the bar to ask if they were still serving. Was told yes and to just have a seat. 20min later we got up and walked out having never seen a hostess or waiter/waitress.
