Busterri - Bilbao

I ate lunch here several times while staying in Bilbao. Menu of the day EUR12, friendly staff, good grub. Proper local clientele, passes the paper tablecloth test. I recommend.

The staff here are excellent and very friendly. Four of us ate most heartily, we had three main courses but only ordered two platos of each to share between the four of us. Portions were generous and the food was excellent. We were introduced to some digestifs that I was previously unaware of. I believe that they were from Gallicia. The first was Orujo de herbas, which was as close to the taste of yellow Chartreuse as makes no difference. The other was Orujo Blanco which was better than any Grappa that I have ever imbibed. These are not for the faint hearted.

We had excellent pinxtos (tapas at Busterri ham, anchovies, etc. . We spent 33 euros for 3 people. We enjoyed it more than various places we went to in the old city.

One of the most typical bars in one of the areas with more bars of bilbao punos. oted can stay in the bar and taste so delicious triangles or other type of punos or sit down to eat a menu of the day. the price quality ratio is very good, which is observed in the number of people who visit it every day.
