Fernwood Tavern - Big Sur

We ordered the wild mushroom Sidewinder fries, the Tavern Burger, and the crème brûlée at this restaurant. Everything tasted delicious except for the water, which had a strong chlorine taste. The staff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic, with beautiful scenery, cute market lights, and fire pits. I would definitely recommend this place!

We absolutely adored this place! We visited during our St. Patrick's Day camping trip. The back patio was amazing - warm with heaters underneath the canopy of huge trees. The food was delicious, drinks were fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on St. Patrick's Day to listen to live music on the back patio. It was an incredible experience!

The manager, Cara, was a wonderful lady who displayed kindness, understanding, and excellent customer service skills. She listened to our concerns and with her grace, she completely changed our opinion about dining at this restaurant. Cara does an exceptional job as a manager.

Great place to get a quick bite. The fireplaces are nice to keep you warm in winter. summer time this is the place to be it’s cool and covered with redwoods.

Nice ambiance and sitting area. Cheerful and friendly servers. Food was ok but not great. We had cheeseburger burrito and spicy chicken burger. Chicken burger was tastier.
