Old Country Inn - Big Bear Lake

Amazing place for breakfast! They have the best country fried steak and the gravy is out of this world! Great service and ambiance! Don’t waste your time with the overrated Teddy Bear. Old Country Inn is thousand times better! This is our go to restaurant for breakfast from now on.

Food was subpar waffles especially as well as the drink orders they could t even get a half tea and Lemonade correct, oh they also have a service fee as well on a $100 bill I was taxed 24 dollars which is fine but I consider that the tip! We are going they also made us a feel a certain type of way for letting them know the food was bland which I guess is expected but yea just letting everybody know I would not recommend Denny's is right down the street!!

Food is great but service and pricing is misleading. if you choose a side of biscuitS and gravy they give you a single biscuit, nowhere does it specify it's single even though biscuits is plural. They will also gladly not give you a side if you don't ask for it and still charge you full price.also the German Breakfast and Chicken fried steak are the same price even though one comes with double nearly triple the meat, same sides.

Came up from the desert looking to relax walked into this restaurant and was not disappointed- nice relaxed easy going and friendly KJ was our waitress- thank you.

The best country fried steak and cloud-like biscuits and gravy! We make a stop here every time we are in town for a cozy breakfast. Great service culture too!
