Bidrage med feedbackCaminetto Restaurant is located in the wonderful setting of the Oropa Sanctuary. We had a nice lunch. Nice and professional service, food was medium quality, no major complaints on that though. However, as a person with professional qualification in hospitality and in wine tasting, I was simply astonished by the unprofessional and aggressive behaviour of who seemed to be the chief of staff when quietly and with constructive explanation, I told him that in my opinion the house wine was not up to the standards. Of course I am very well aware that when you choose a carafe of wine you can't expect top notch quality. However I believe that it is valuable to pass on comments in a constructive manner. Unfortunately I also heard a person in the kitchen expressing a view, most likely on me (he had just had a chat with the chief of staff second after he had argued with me in a non professional and most paternalistic manner), in a very rude manner. I did take the liberty to ask this staff member in the kitchen whether he was by any chance referring to me; unfortunately his answer's tone was way worse than what can be reported here. In sum, good food, good location, nice and professional servers. Just do not choose the table wine and do not make comments. Regards.
I had one of the best polentas ever, amazing wine and a friendly host that speaks spanish and english. The price is also fair (20-30 euros) for the quality of the food. Awesome.
Oropa is a very special place above Biella in Piemonte. Staying overnight in one of the suites and having dinner in the lovely Caminetto is an unforgettable experience.

Were at lunch on 14.2022, agnolotti, cervo al gattinara with potatoes in the oven, polenta concia di oropa, wine of the red house (a barbera, but there were other possibilities: Dolcetto and bonarda,) all prepared with conscience and passion and closed by a fragrant ratafià. you can do nothing but advise and seize the opportunity to thank properties, chefs and staff for the pleasant experience.
