Ashoka Restaurant - Bhagsu

I had mutton for dinner and it was the best mutton I have ever had in Mcleodganj. Thank you guys. I will come again for dinner at your restaurant. Just one feedback, please do not keep clothes on the table which does not look tidy.

We were shocked to see that it's Aashok Dhaba now (With a double A). Checked with Staff this is the same as mentioned here. Menu is totally different. And vibes are weird. Laccha Paranthas were sad but Chicken Curry was good.

Really good Indian food and good price too Must visit in Mcleodganj don't think for any other place for good Indian food.

Look for the green signboard just ahead of woeser bakery n post office , a two floor seating with an added rooftop , d last one supposedly closed due to rain induced waterlogging... A small staircase leads to d dining area , looks are a bit oldish , d decor , d table clothes all will remind one of 10 year Purana times . . But d food , wat to say , was like an oasis in d desert .. amidst a flurry of Italian n English menu serving cafes , this Indian joint holds its own with a lip smacking food ... I ordered paneer butter masala with plain garlic naan n tawa roti . Yes , u read it right .. so few places these days serve d gharwaali tawa rotis !!! Garlic naan was good , soft n filled with garlic .. tawa roti was thick n like having two at one 's home But the winner was pbm , so gloriously sift paneer , swimming in d red thick gravy of less spicy mixture , enough for two ... A sureshot .. Hope u improve upon the bathroom lights n invest in interiors ..

I had lunch and dinner a couple of time, the food is great, tasty, generous and not pricey. It would be a 5* if the place was a bit more cosy and lively (decoration, set up,.. . But again...delicious food ! :
