Ristorante Italia - Bezirk Zuerich

We enjoyed a wonderful, uncomplicated evening in the ristorante italia. the atmosphere is welcoming and stylish, service-friendly and timely and eating and wein was at a good price. I couldn't ask for anything anymore. we will return!

The food was good. softshell crab was unforgettable. the eating deserves four stars, but the service was a screw-like, the creepy part of it was quite forced out of the table around 8 (attack around 6). we wanted to dessert, but all we got was the bill to get rid of us. I can accept this with a general reservation, but with this service, not acceptable. no pleasant experience to feel like on a conveyor belt.

Food: good and solid, rather heavy, on the pricy side for what you get. Pasta with Salsicca was great! Pulpo and pasta amatricciana not so much Wine: we tried a few of the open white wines and they were very similar to each other and...we did not like them (too sour) Service: here comes the biggest issue. The regular waiter had no clue about what his (few) tables of guests needed or wanted, did not recommend alternatives (to the wine his boss later did and that was good, the Arneis from the Enotec), walked by many times without looking at his guests who wanted to order sth and also managed to punch our order wrong we got our mains before the starters. Not even an apology. The other waiter offered to take it away, but we didn’t want food thrown out, so went with the flow. There was many people taking orders/serving/clearing dishes but it seemed quite uncoordinated. What I don’t get we had a bill of 140 CHF and it was clear that we didn’t like the offered wines (we left some in each glass, but paid for it) and the orders went wrong. By simply offering a free Espresso at the end you can end the meal on a happy note, and it cost you 0,10chf but they missed that chance as well. Not terrible at all, don’t get me wrong, but I will not go again since this was my second similar experience there.

Generally good reputation, the building has restaurant tradition for over 100 years; during our visit hospitality was not there; Welcome? Service? from a to z an example how it shouldn’t be done? Food, ok for this place means not a destination it was fare better,...service in the back side of the restaurant so disappointing actually the Season to wright this comment. We spend a lot money but for the last time....

Good for Dinner. The teracce is Amazing in summer. A Little bit crowded . The food is good But a expences. They cover you 3,5 euro/ pers for tapwater
