Cafe Du Coiffeur - Beuvron-en-Auge

We reached Beuvron -en -Auge in the afternoon and we discovered this quaint little cafe as it was one of the few which was open. Once you enter the cafe you are transported into another world. The ambience is from another generation. This is home made coffee without any machine. Please do not expect cappuccinos and fancy coffees. There is a sweet madam at counter who takes your order and serves you. You don't need to know french you can communicate through smiles and gestures. This is a really different experience you must enjoy.

Sat outside the cafe, taking in the beautiful village in front of us. It was like a fairytale for us. Kids loved it! Had lovely hot chocolate. Lady who served us didn't say much. Could have been the language barrier.

If you are in the area you just have to visit the beautiful little village of Beuvron en Auge. It’s like stepping into one of the fairytales with a happy ending. And if you visit Beuvron en Auge, don’t pick one of the fancy cafes for your cup of coffee instead, enter the past in Café du Coiffeur. The lady behind the counter is lovely and she makes a damn good cup of coffee ‘un café’ for no money.

Nice little restaurant in a lovely village. Nice staff. Prices are great. I recommend a classic cidre. In front of the café you can sit well and rest. I would come back!
