Nice little restaurant in a beautiful village. Nice staff. The prices are great. I recommend a classic cedar. Before the café you can sit well and rest. I'd come back!
We reached Beuvron -en -eye in the afternoon and we discovered this picturesque little café as one of the few that was open. Once you enter the café, you will be transported to another world. The ambience comes from another generation. This is homemade coffee without a machine. Please do not expect cappuccinos and chic coffees. There is a sweet madam at the counter that takes your order and serves you. You don't need to know French that you can communicate through smiles and gestures. This is a really different experience you need to enjoy.
We found Beuvron en Auge and Café du Coiffeur by pure chance. It's tucked away in beautiful building in the corner of fabulous village, it's an absolutely charming, quirky little place and Madame Patron was delightful We were there on a quiet, cold day and she...served us a large, delicious, freshly brewed cup of coffee which was extremely good value in a lovely warm environment; She also kindly pointed us in the direction of the boulangerie to get fresh baguettes and pastries to have with our coffee. And the added bonus was Madame went into the back to get her French/English dictionary out in order to chat with us. We'll certainly return as it made a simple cup coffee a delightful experience. Thank you Madame
Stopping as we did on the rainiest day since July we sought refuge in this small cafe. It was like stepping back in time. Beuvron-en-auge with it's typical Pays d'Auge red brick and half-timbered houses have preserved it's bygone charm and is listed among France's most beautiful villages. The little corner cafe serves mainly drinks with a varied menu of coffee, teas and alcohol. We three had pression, hot chocolate and grand cafe with cream and brandy. Lovely!
