Bidrage med feedbackWe went for dinner Saturday last at 7 pm, just 4 of us . The restaurant wasn’t packed however it took almost 1 hour to get a starter then another 35 minutes for main course we also had to harass the staff to get a drink, we didn’t bother with tea /coffee or ice cream as it may have taken another hour. It appears that they are focussing on the take away side of the business and the restaurant is suffering. I’ve been going to Chans for many years but I won’t be back.. over priced and awful service .
Typical chinese takeout, but food always fresh tasty. Prompt friendly service..
Overall, this is a good restaurant but our food was both good and disappointing. Our starters were good we had the chicken skewer satay and the salt chilli chicken really enjoyed them. However, our mains was very disappointing we had the Aromatic Duck for 2. Portion was, it was extremely small especially at a cost of €24. The pancakes were barely like warm the duck was nowhere near crispy and it looked anaemic and was very bland. The big plus for the restaurant was the staff they were extremely friendly and polite. I would go back, but I wouldn't be rushing to go....if I did I certainly wouldn't have the duck. But it's certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
Even wen they're under pressure ... the management and staff go that one step further ,,, faboulous food and great service ....
This was for years the best Chinese restaurant/takeaway in the area however of late the quality of the food has definitely dropping in standard. Pity because we like the front of house staff. We have not arranged family dinners because of the quality. On the last 3 occasions we have found the duck has been chewy and fatty a lot of the dishes just lost appeal, boiled rice has blackened the aluminium containers indicating its been in it for some time. The beef is tough and chewy. I hope the trend is addressed soon.
