Bethpage Burger

I would give this restaurant a negative rating if I could. Both our orders came out wrong and the sauces we requested were forgotten about, even though we asked for them twice. There was no salt on the pretzel that they charge you nine dollars for and it came out cold. Way over priced. Service was terrible and was staring at us fill out the receipt for a tip. Should have known when we walked in an only one couple was sitting at a booth.Terrible experience and will not be going back.

I've been meaning to try Bethpage Burger Bar for a long time, so I came here on a Friday night and was a little surprised to see that this place was empty. There was not another customer here. For a restaurant that resembles a diner, I was expecting it to be a bit more lively on a weekend. They had many different types of burgers on the menu, but I decided to get a simple burger with crispy onions, lettuce and tomato. I also ordered a side of French Fries. The fries were really good, but I would say the burger was just okay. The bun was a little dry. It was like any burger you would get at a diner. I was hoping for a much better burger spot.

My husband took my kids and I there for lunch on a Saturday brunch hour. The food was great! The staffs are very nice, but there was only one thing I was disappointed. Which was my kids' burgers, the flavor was great but the buns were burned (like black kind of burned), which I didn't think was okay for my kids. If it was my burger, I would let it go, but definitely for the kids' burgers.

2 items were missing from the order and sides on one of the items were wrong. Pretzels tasted stale. Burger was salty. Burger and grilled cheese were dripping in grease. House salad was sent without dressing. Not a great experience.

I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants in my time and have put up with bad food, poor service, etc but this ranks as one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Let’s start with the “waiter” and I use that term very loosely. He appeared to be about 17-18 and tried to take our simple order (2 burgers, an order of fries, 2 sodas) on what looked like an iPad. Struggling with the iPad for a couple of minutes he proceeded to ask us what we wanted and he actually said “what do you guys want?” without even so much as a smile. It looked like the owner pulled him off the street and was holding a family member hostage, forcing him to work. Even my 10 year old daughter rolled her eyes as he asked us at least 3 times what we wanted and he struggled to enter it into the pad. Well, after waiting about 20 minutes (there was only 2 other people in the place and they were only picking up orders) we got our food. The burgers were tasteless slabs of gray meat, looked like they were originally frozen and served on stale Kaiser rolls. Our fries were cold because our waiter disappeared into the corner before picking it up from the kitchen and didn’t come over to the table once to ask us how everything was once the food was delivered to our table. I wasn’t about to return anything for fear of what we would get back so we ate some of our meal and quickly hightailed it out of there. This poor kid looked so miserable I told him “smile my man, it can’t be that bad” to which he replied “yeah, I’m having a bad day”. Don’t have the help come to work in that condition, it reflects poorly on the whole experience. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, even a mediocre diner would make a better burger.
