Chez Elle - Besançon

Just wanted dinner after a long day on the road. CHEZ ELLE was the only choice because it was located directly behind the hotel. Was greeted by a very friendly lady... Unfortunately only French speaking. Yes I was in France.. But having a restaurant located right at the back door of a hotel, I would have expected just a little bit of an other language. Menu was also just in French. So was trying with my best school French.. Went for the safe option... A burger... Was asked how I wanted to have it cooked.. Medium we agreed on.. Happy with my choice. 2 minutes later my burger arrived. I know for a fact its near impossible to cook and serve a medium cooked burger in that time.. Looked nice.. But that was it... A pre-cooked burger.. And well done.. And the smell wasnt too pleasant.. The best part was the pomfrites... For sure out of a bag.... Didn't finish my meal.. Disappointed.

We went here for dinner and started very promissing (whih we expected for a restaurant in that price class). The place was quiet and the food looked very good. As we were waiting, the terrace and place filled up and as there were only two waiters to server the whole area, you could see that things started to slow down. The food was very good.I had the lamb brochette and it was the best I had during my whole vacation in France. The burger was also good. When we asked for the bill, nobody noticed our signs. After some time, I went to the cash register at the bar where the waitress was plainly rude to me and told me that she would bring me my bill as soon as she had time.

Close to the All Suites Hotel. Really good! Special menu for the hotel guests. Practical, clean and really friendly. You can choice some menús.

Hot and correct service but nevertheless disappointed with the price quality ratio. Too bad not having home fries at this rate. Also a shame not to serve a small bite to accompany the aperitif.

Service and reception at the top. Burger quality house. Only small flat: the price of the products. A little high for a fried burger salad even if the product is of quality
