We found the menu very nice and the staff explained the differences between various dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not at all rushed. Home cooked feel rather than high end cuisine. There are too many restaurants trying to be something they aren’t but thankfully this isn’t one! Very lovely meal and nice setting in the the town.

Came to visit Besalu and we decided to grab a bite to eat. Food is good but service can do better, the waitress that took our order forgot to give us our water. She seemed to be in a rush, food was ok but a little overpriced. The other younger waiter that gave us our bill was very helpful even went over our order to make sure we were not over charged, while she was doing that the original waiter that took our order screamed at her and told her to hurry because there were more tables. I am not sure if this is normal behavior in this city but from a tourist point I took it as rude and inconsiderate as we had spend roughly 100 euros. Nice restaurant but it would attract more customers if waiter wasn’t rude.

A disappointing meal with my husband. Ordered paella to share with tapas to start and both were poor. Staff quite surly although efficient enough.
