Local Lizards Cantina And Sports

I've been going to Lalo's restaurants since I was a kid. Every time we had a birthday party, we would go there and celebrate. It was years since I went to Lalo. We stopped for lunch before we went to Brookfield Zoo. The food was not disappointed and it brought back so many memories. Can't believe they still spend chicken soup! The waiting staff was friendly and we all enjoyed our lunch.

This place never disappoints with food and service. Gloria was our server. There was a problem with our Margaritas that Hector (Manager) quickly resolved.

It is a very good place, from the beginning the chips and salsa, very good you can feel the corn, soup excellent, and the food and chicken perfectly cooked, tender and full of taste. Good prices and beautiful surroundings.

We both celebrated our Mother's Days. Gloria our waitress was sweetly attentive. The additional staff, Busboy and Hostess were also professional and attentive to our needs. Our foods were delivered faster than expected, emptied plates were immediately removed and our chips and dip were almost immediately refilled. Our food was full of taste, served hot and fresh with beautiful and warm tortillas. We ordered enchiladas Verdes, flautas de papas, banderillas, horchata and a frozen guava margarita.

Lalos is still Lalos! I was terrified after eating at one of the franchise stores that Lalos was gone, but it's not! It is still hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago...or most other places for that matter. If you tried another location and didn't like it, come here! The pickled vegetables, the chicken soup, the guacamole and the Margaritas are all fantastic!
